Endgame Tactics

Andras Meszaros Endgame Tactics contains 530 diagrammed puzzle positions, all featuring tactical ideas in the endgame. Section 1 (Beginner) features 290 positions on the themes of Pawn Promotion, Mate, Winning Material, Fighting Out a Draw and Stalemate. These are one or two move forced continuations. Section 2 (Advanced Player) features 110 positions with mixed themes. The solutions are more complex and challenging. Section 3 (Chess Problems) has 96 positions by well known problem composers. Section 4 (Fantastic) contains 34 invented, fantasy positions with unlikely combinations of pieces on the board. Solutions to all the puzzles can be found at the end of the book. Endgame Puzzles would be an ideal book for travel or a holiday as the puzzles can be worked through without a chess set. Published 2014, softback, 116 pages.
